Reading with a Princess

Reading books and being a princess are among the favorite things to do around our house these days, especially when it's too cold to get outside! She was too cute not to take some pics:)

Snow Angel

Swimming one week, Snowing the next

Yes, we were swimming last week and playing in snow today! We did swim in an indoor pool, though, when we went to Mobile late last week for a prospective job visit. It's very preliminary but the girls and I enjoyed the pool while Blake did doctor stuff;). Then, we arrived back to freezing temperatures and eventually SNOW! Sage enjoyed it more than Montana. (Actually, I think I wanted to play in it the most!) I think Montana has seen plenty of snow in her 3 year lifetime so it's no big deal anymore!

Mardi GRAS!

We squeezed a Mardi Gras parade into our trip and enjoyed beautiful weather and catching
lots of "throws."

Sage caught on to what you do when a float passes
Throw me something MISTER!

Playing with Mikayla

She initially started with her hands down(as pictured above) because that's how she catches a ball. But, after getting dinked in the head with a cup, she learned to put her hands up.

Waitin' on the parade

Enjoying king cake!!

Worms and Samantha

We spent last weekend in New Orleans. Blake had an ophtho meeting and we took advantage of Mardi Gras time, Saints madness, and Dick and Jenny's(one of our fav restaurants). It was a great time to be in the city! Everyone was chipper with the Saints going to the Superbowl, electing a new mayor, and Mardi Gras. We stayed at my parents and here are a couple cute pics. I'll post again with pics from the parade!

They discovered a worm. Montana wanted to touch it and Sage wanted to squash it. Brave girls.
I love that the girls love our old dolls. Mo is enjoying my American Girl doll, Samantha.

What a Day

Saturday, January 23rd, was an interesting day. It began with a garage sale here at our house and ended with Montana and I BOTH hugging the toilet simultaneously! I'd say the garage sale was successful... we all made a little extra cash and got rid of some "stuff"! But, I wasn't sure what hit me that evening! And, I couldn't believe it when I heard Montana doing the same thing! Nonetheless, we have fully recovered but that horrible bug lives on:(.

Looks like Laura Leigh just made a sale
And this is where we spent the ENTIRE day Sunday(notice the peppermint chips on my belly)

Bailey Family Visit

My sister, brother in law, niece, and nephew came to visit us over MLK weekend. We had lots of fun shopping, went to see 101 Dalmations, the guys put the swingset up, ate king cake and oreo balls, played a crazy game of phase 10, listened to Mikayla read books, and on and on and on! Thanks for making the trip and bringing Montana's new bed!!!
Chomping on skittles waiting for the show
SO excited!
Putting the finishing touches on the swingset(which was the girls Christmas gift from grandma and pappy)
