Pawpaw Gene

My moms dad, pawpaw Gene passed away yesterday. We have hope that he accepted Christ in his last days here on earth. My mom, dad, and brother shared God's love with him, read scripture to him, and prayed with him! He acknowledged and affirmed the words they shared and because of that we are all able to have such peace in the midst of this loss. I will not forget our last visit to see him in the hospital where he teased Montana by shaking his pointer finger at her and she held his hand. He played with August's toes and wanted to know if we are having any more babies....he always has asked me that! Sage was uneasy with the hospital setting so she stayed in blakes arms. And when Blake shook his hand and I kissed him goodbye he asked, "what's the rush?"....that's pawpaw for sure! I hope to see you on the streets of gold one day not too far away!!!

Fishing

This evening Blake said he wanted to try fishing in the little lake down from our house so we headed down to give it a try....and, he caught 3 fish in a matter of 30 seconds!!! I think this will be a regular activity now!

Messy boy!

I can tell he thinks making a mess is fun!!

August is 5 months!

Oh, how I want to freeze time!!!! This baby boy is growing entirely too quick and it must slow down. He is full of smiles and occasional giggles, sleeps so well, and is so cuddly! We still can't get enough of this stinker!! Sorry for the crooked pics...not sure how to rotate them on iPad:)

Fire station visit

We visited the fire station yesterday after picking Montana up from school and met sparky the fire dog and learned about fire safety!!

Birthdays, birthdays, birthdays

Celebrating daughters is a common thing around here! We ended Sages birthday at chickfila(dinner of her choice) with some new friends and brought the cookie cake with us...I realize I should not have brought "Ariel" in public! Oh well, they were impressed with my artwork too;). Here are a couple pics:

Ellie Grace, Benjamin, Steven, and Mrs. Raina joined us!

The rest of the pics are from our weekend in Baton Rouge celebrating birthdays with grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Brad smoked some pork and it was awesome!!! Thanks Brad! Stacey shopped for me and Helped prepare and I'm so thankful! We swam at Grandma and Pappys pool(thank you for letting us party there), opened lots of gifts(thanks everyone!!!), and had a wonderful time!

Happy birthday Sage!

Sage is fwee!!!! Happy birthday to my precious, yet extremely feisty, Sage! She recently said her name was Sage Augusta Drive Booff...the fact that we now live on Augusta Dr. Is pretty confusing to a little girl trying to learn her full name! Seems like yesterday we were driving to the dungeon(UAB's old women's hospital) to meet Sage in person. She truly was the easiest baby and Blake and I know God was so gracious through it!! We really look forward to seeing our beautiful, compassionate, particular, little lady grow and embrace her Creator! We love you, Sage Augusta!!!

Ariel...hahahaha! She thought it was great so that's all that matters, right?

Campout

The weather was perfect and Montana had been asking to have a campout with Blake after reading a Berenstein Bears book where they camped out with their dad. It was fun for everyone as Sage got to "campout" in a tent in our closet! So, we were all making preparations with tents, pillows, sleeping bags, flashlights and blankets. What a memory!!

It was a beautiful night with a full moon!

Dear ole dad setting things up outside!

Can you see the excitement in the girls?

Playdate with Mae!

It's been over a year since we've seen our friend Mae, who we met and played with in Birmingham. But, these girls remembered each other and played for several hours while mae's parents(and our friends) went to the ole miss game last Saturday! It was a treat to have her over!!

BIG boy!!!

Well, this is my 4 month old post, but I'm 11 days late...whoops! Auggie is such a doll and quite a funny baby who doesn't stop smiling(except when he had an allergic reaction to amoxicillin)! And yes, we are all still pretty obsessed with him:). I'm starting to see a difference between he and the girls as he likes to be jerked around and rocked with force by his big sisters!

He had his first taste of cereal and loved it!!!

More birthday photos!!

Candles in her chocolate donuts...breakfast of choice for the big day!

Pin the flower on Minnie with Sage and Elizabeth...sweet Elizabeth is in Montanas class and came over to play and celebrate with us!
