A Visit with Baby Landon and Uncle Mikey

While Blake was in Chicago, I got a call from my sister letting me know she was in labor! Perfect!! So the girls and I literally threw our clothes in a suitcase and headed to Baton Rouge. We were at the hospital just a few hours after Landon's arrival. What a precious baby boy! Then we took Tristan(big bro) with us to my parents for a couple days to give mom and baby some quiet time and greet Uncle Mikey when he flew in from Hawaii on Thursday! He played and played with his nieces and nephews and they loved seeing him! Blake met me in NOLA and we ended the trip with a Saints game. The Saints played horrible but we thoroughly enjoyed hanging out with friends we don't get to see often! Here's a few pics from the visit:

A Getaway

Blake and I had a long weekend in Jackson Hole and the Grand Tetons to celebrate our 30th birthdays. It may seem strange, but I was there on family vacation and celebrated my 10th and 20th birthdays so we decided to keep up the tradition:). Besides my nausea, we had a wonderful time and enjoyed God's amazing creation...what a mighty God we serve!!! Thanks mom for keeping the girls for us!
On a "hike"...which I quickly discovered was not fun at that stage of pregnancy
Ahhh, we made it!Bubbling "hot tub" near Old Faithful
Old Faithful in action

The reason I had a REALLY bad night that night!

There was a wolf right off the road and he was eyeing up nearby bison...crazy!

Walking around J-hole

Blake ordered room service for his bday dinner. So sad, but I was so sick from the ice cream!

Deer antler made this huge archway

This is the raft we rode down the Snake River

This picture was well worth the hike on day 1

A bald eagle we saw while floating down the Snake River

He was right off the road one day

The best fly fisherman I know:)

Instead of a traffic jam, we were stuck in a bison jam. There was a herd of bison walking in the road. I was a little nervous because we had a red rental car and I thought one was going to come charging at the car!

Blueberry Pickin'

On a September Sunday afternoon, sometime between Montana and Sage's birthdays(these are the only dates I remember when sick), Blake wanted to take a trip to pick blueberries! Wonderful idea, Blake!!! It was hot, but we had the blueberry farm to ourselves and were shaded walking between the huge blueberry bushes. We tasted them right off the bush...the owner did too and told us to do so! There were several horses off to the side of the bushes so we petted them before we left(well, Sage asked to pet them but then refused and this is a pattern I'm noticing with many things she wants these days). Blake took a jillion pics so I had a hard time picking...enjoy!
Montana giving them a taste
Sage found them a little sour, looks like.
They started off being good little helpers to fill up our big bucket!

Completely out of order, but this is how Blake found Sage when we pulled up to the farm.

Looks like she just had to get used to the taste:)

Mr. Horsey

The bucket is full!!!

Mmmmmm....

Fun times at the blueberry farm!

THE Birthday Party!!!

I don't think I will ever stop laughing when I think of Blake's outlandish(I think that's a good word for it?) performance as "The Duke of Duke" at Sage and Montana's birthday party! I cannot believe I didn't have the video camera out, but I will completely blame it on the pregnancy. And, I know Blake was fully focused on his surprise role he was going to play to think of it himself. I had NO IDEA that he was plotting this and he came out before Cinderella and Snow White to teach everyone how to greet and treat a princess...HILARIOUS! He talked in an Old English accent if that helps your imagination! I know I'm going on and on about him but he is too much and I love him! What a memorable party!!!

He ran out of the back door, leaped over the chairs, swimming pool, and kids...this was his entrance!
Here he is giving his princess lesson and I seriously could hardly breathe!

The kids are confused about what is going on and the adults cant stop laughing!

He did acquire an injury when leaping over the chairs.
But the princesses(aka my sis-in-laws) were a hit and did a wonderful job!
Blythe(my other sis-in-law) painted Mickey and Minnie ears on their faces:)

Unwrapping lots of gifts...thanks again everyone!!!

The party crew!

Cinderella, Snow White, and Sage

Enjoying stories and still laughing at The Duke
Montana's turn
Avery and Adleigh's turn

And they are off to return to their royal palaces...

but they are missed:(

sorely missed!!
Pin the flower on Minnie...and Micah, the youngest contestant won!

And Graydon won the pull string pinata:)

Happy 4th Birthday Montana and 2nd Birthday Sage! God has been so good to us...we love every ounce of both of you!!!!

The Party Goes On!!!!

On Labor Day weekend we had almost all of our family drive in town for Sage and Montana's birthday party. But, on Friday afternoon, I got a call from Montana's school saying she needed to be picked up because she looked like she had pink eye!! No way, not on this weekend I was hoping. Then she woke up Saturday morning even worse so we had a small party but big fun! My sister and her family stayed with us but thankfully no one caught "the pink eye"(which is still what Montana calls it). Here is the day before the party:
