Train Ride with Santa

We took a train ride with Santa this past weekend with some of our friends. Montana was skeptical of St. Nick but she did give him a half hug with the other arm wrapped tightly around my neck! Sidenote: We have read The Cajun Night Before Christmas MANY times over the past few weeks and Montana wanted to know where Santa's alligators were...our Alabama friends got a kick out of our cajun daughter's question! The kids wore their Christmas pjs and they all were adorable. Whit(in the red-striped pjs) was so cute as he joyfully listed to Santa what he wanted for Christmas...Enjoying the ride(the very slow ride)

Kinda fuzzy but here is the half hug:)

Sad Reindeer?

Well, this was supposed to be cute pic of the girls in their reindeer/Christmas clothes, but it didn't go over so well. Montana had just been told to stop pushing on Sage's head by Blake and I and she obviously thought it was the end of the world. I thought it would make a funny picture and it certainly did! Little rascal also wanted to see herself crying in the picture after I took it.Sage has had a pretty monumental week...she has discovered her tongue and her hands as you'll see in the pics below. She also has given us a full night's rest for a little over a week now! In my opinion she is what many people call a "good baby" and a perfect addition to our family:).

Thanksgiving

The girls and I had a wonderful Thanksgiving at my parent's house, but much to my dismay, Blake had to work in Bham. However, we both have so very much to be thankful for...two precious girls, Blake's job, daily provisions, etc...but we are especially grateful for the grace of our Saviour! Sage got to meet her great grandparents and several great aunts and uncles so she received a lot of lovin'! Montana loved playing with her cousins and it was such a joy to spend time with family and friends. We had a play date with some nola buddies at the Children's Museum, ate some good ole nawlins food, and visited FBNO which was such a special time for us all!

The cousins wanted Sage to join in the fun

Daddy's Home

We all love when Daddy comes home!

Growing Like Weeds

Blake, Montana, and I looked through some pictures last night and we couldn't believe how fast the girls are growing! Everyone says that and I certainly believe it! Here they are in the last week or so.

Girls, Girls, Girls

This weekend was girl-time. Daddy had our girls while Mommy went out with her girlfriends! I had so much fun hanging out with NOLA friends and the girls told me they loved being with Daddy. I'm posting some random pics of the girls and a couple pics from the weekend.

Funny Story

Okay, yesterday while I was posting on the blog, Blake took Sage around the block for some fresh air(what baby doesn't like that, right?) and when he got home I noticed he had several pieces of spinach in between his teeth. So, I walked over to him and started picking in his teeth(which I love to do and he hates it) when he told me that he had talked to probably 10 people and it seemed that no one wanted to talk long. I wish I had taken a picture but we laughed and laughed about this so I thought I'd share it with everyone!

Halloween and More

I feel like I have a ton of pics on this post but we've been busy! We spent Halloween morning at Jenn and Ryan's(and Rollins and Christian) house, were we met several new friends and we(yes, we) jumped in the jumper. Then we went to Ginger and Ryan's for trick-or-treating and taco soup(yum)...thanks to all of you for having us over. Montana was Lady(from Lady and the Tramp) but she called herself a doggy...which worked! I've also posted some smiling Sage pics because she's been smiling a lot. The pics are kind of random and I don't have time to resituate them so I'll put captions so you don't get lost! Thanks for bearing with me! Lady eating some 'treats' Halloween night

Catching Up

Sorry it has taken me so long to put up pictures, but thanks to those of you who have 'urged' me to put up some new ones. When I'm faced with the option of blogging or napping there is not much debate. However, Blake was on call last night and I went to bed right after feeding Sage(which was around 8:00), woke up twice to feed her in the night, and gladly rolled out of bed this morning at 7:45 feeling like a new woman! So...I am blogging instead of napping today:).

Kisses are plentiful from Montana to Sage. She usually kisses both hands, then both feet, then her head. She likes to hug her too, but those are often way too much for Sage to handle...if you could imagine.

This was after our first trip to church a few weeks ago...I love how Sage is sorta smiling for the camera and Montana is elated to have her sister in her lap. Notice the girls' matching dresses from Grandma!

Our first trip back to the zoo!
Blake posing next to the trusty Jeep which we will be parting with this week for a new ride!

Another matching dresses picture(thanks to Grandma) I took after church yesterday. I ventured to church on my own(while Blake was working) and I think everyone thought I was crazy...maybe I am, huh? Random people were offering me help all morning...which was so kind but also funny when you really think about it!

We went to the pumpkin patch this weekend and had a blast! The weather was amazing and Blake claimed it was the most fun he's had in a long time(which was so good to hear). Above is Montana playing in a huge trailor full of cotton.

Taking a hayride out to pick our pumpkins

We made our pumpkin an LSU football player(thanks to Anna) with Mr. Potatohead parts. I love Montana's smile in this one...just a little fake, huh?!
