First day of PRE-K

Well, it happened! Montana has started PreK and she LOVES it!! The day went so well and she loved her teachers. She came home saying the days of the week so they jumped right in with learning:). When Sage and I arrived at her classroom door to pick her up, she ran up to me with a cupcake in hand and said, "Today is my new friend, Anna's, birthday!" We will see if she's disapppointed not to get dessert at the end of class tomorrow;). Without a doubt, Sage had the hardest time with the adjustment!!! You will see in the video at the bottom of the post that she wanted to go to school with Montana! I literally had to carry her out of the classroom when we dropped her off because she didn't want to leave. She and I went to our Wednesday morning bible study and as soon as I picked her up she wanted to know where Montana was...hopefully she will soon realize she has mommy all to herself!

This first pic is so funny. It is a pre-enactment. Blake wanted to video Montana walking to school her first day, but couldn't show up at work after 9:00, so we practiced at 8:00;)

I didn't cry yesterday but must admit as I look at these pictures and type, I'm tearing up! What an incredible blessing from the LORD this little girl is...thank you, Jesus, for allowing us to love her and teach her about you!!

Now I'm laughing at this pic!

What a treasure you are!

Here is the classroom!

End of Summer Beach Trip

We snuck in one final getaway to the beach right before PreK started and all of our fall activities. My sister and I thought it would be fun for our families to go to the beach together...so we searched until we found the perfect weekend and booked it! Then, about a month later, Blake told me he was going to Dallas for a conference at the same time:(! Needless to say, he didn't join us, but we went and had a great time with family! My brother and my newest sis-in-law joined us too so we played lots of cards, games, and tennis! Mom and Dad even drove over for a night which was sweet of them! We will make sure daddy is with us next time for sure though:)

Lots of fun in the sun!

More Gymnastics

Gymnastics camp week was a busy week!!! Montana enjoyed herself but was weary by day 5...she woke up and told me, "while I was laying in my bed I was thinking I didn't really want to go to camp today." Grandma was in town and I got to stay with Montana at camp one morning and watch while she kept Sage. The same day Montana and I had a date at The Cheesecake Factory and shared a brownie sundae!!! It was a treat(thanks Grandma)!

Pools and Popsicles

I found these on my phone this weekend at the beach(pics to come) and I wanted to post them because they are nostalgic. This is at Pools and Popsicles at Dawson Baptist Church and it was the first outing Montana and I had when we moved to Birmingham 2 years ago. Now, we have two little ones that enjoyed their morning playing and bomb pops...it has been SUCH a blessing to be a part of this family of believers.

The BIG 30!

I have spent the whole week celebrating the big 30!!! I must admit, it's no big deal:). But, to ring in becoming an official grownup(haha), I decided we should hit the local amusement/water park, Alabama Adventure. So, after church we headed out to ride some rides and I was reminded that I'm not in my twenties anymore;). Besides the extreme heat, we had a blast! BTW, Montana is quite the roller coaster girl!!

Blake said Montana was having the time of her life while he was getting sick!

Montana and I rode the ferris wheel

Sage is keeping cool watching Daddy and Montana on the crazy spinning ride

This was hilarious

Blake baked Paula Deen's Strawberry Cake(which you can google) and it was SOOO yummy!!
