Zoo Members

We joined the Birmingham Zoo this weekend and Blake's mom, dad, and our new sister-in-law joined us for the occasion. We will be back soon since she's been asking to go back ever since we went!

Hangin' Out

Montana reading her book to her baby...she LOVES all things baby these days...I'll let you know how that all pans out in the coming months.

Montana loves hanging like a monkey and making monkey sounds on our new, hand-me-down treadmill. She also has been into playing with all of her baby sister's things...which she doesn't realize were hers not too long ago! So, she has a super-small tshirt on that she found in her sister's room and requested to wear. Hopefully it's not too much skin for the blog, but I thought everyone would enjoy it.

Settling in Birmingham

We're here and the boxes are unpacked...YAY...much thanks to my mom and sis for the help(all the kids pictured below being silly)! Montana loves her new "big girl" bed(as pictured below), new house, and new pool. We joined the community pool and have made several trips to keep cool and met several new friends. Montana is jumping in, kicking, and moving her arms in great effort to swim like the big kids she observes.

We headed to downtown Homewood with some friends, Casey and Melissa, for the 4th of July showdown. Montana jumped and jumped while we ate ice cream and sipped Starbucks!

We're off to NYC!

Before settling in Birmingham, we decided to take a celebratory trip(for the completion and survival of Blake's internship) to New York City. We left Montana Mae behind with family and returned home to a spoiled child, but we had a blast, walked a lot, and saw what seemed like everything. Our trip highlights were getting on the Dave Letterman Show(and we got early seating b/c of my prego belly), visiting the Met and MOMA, seeing Philip Seymour in the park, watching ColdPlay perform at the Today show, riding the ferry, eating at Shake Shack, Lombardi's, Balthazaar, etc., shopping, and Mary Poppins and Phantom on Broadway! And, my brother Mikey, who enlisted in the Navy in January, got to come hang out with us...which was def the cherry to top it all off!

Leaving NOLA

What a hard place to leave, but God's time for change has come! Blake worked pretty much nonstop his last week so Montana and I had all the fun we could squeeze in. There are so many wonderful people in NOLA that we are going to miss a ton and many helped to make my week memorable with tea at the Windsor Court, a trip to Audobon zoo(always a blast), an outing at Posh Pottery, girls dinner night, ice cream at Creole Creamery, lunch at Commander's, and even Carrie Underwood's concert! Much thanks also to everyone who helped us get the moving van loaded in record time!
