Christmas in Cotton Plant

Friday night we drove over to Cotton  Plant, MS to see the largest display of Christmas inflatables(so said TLC)!  It was fun for the kids and they even had some dress up Christmas characters!!

Advent Candle

We lit the advent candle for the LOVE of CHRIST this morning at church.  It was special and we were honored to proclaim HIS love to our church this morning.

 The girls said John 3:16

Outdoor fun!

We had some beautiful, spring-like weather this week and enjoyed time off from our "routine" and played outside!  Thank you, Lord!

Sage's Christmas Performance

Sage's MMO class performed some songs on Wednesday morning!  She did an excellent job if I do say so myself!!!

Lindsay and Brett's Wedding

Last weekend Blake's cousin, Brett, was married in Baton Rouge and we made a trip down for the special event. Then, on Sunday we had Christmas with Blake's extended family!  Auggie woke up with fever on Saturday morning so he and I stayed at my sister's house and missed the wedding:(.  He was a little better on Sunday so we enjoyed an afternoon at the Blouin's and the kids had fun(go figure) opening gifts!!

Handbells at Christmas

Yesterday the handbells group and Ms. Willa, their teacher, performed in the waiting room at Blake's office and then had a mini-concert at our house for a few friends and neighbors!  They did wonderful and several of the ladies at Blake's clinic have requested them to come back next week!  It was a sweet way to minister and play praises to our King with handbells!

Christmas Fun!

We have been staying inside and staying warm this week...and enjoying the Christmas season!  The girls wanted to play dress up in some of my clothes and thought they were big stuff!  We also made a nativity out of random, leftover Halloween candy!  They were begging to eat it afterward!

Preschool Christmas Party

Last night we held our first ever preschool Christmas party at church for all preschool children and their families.  We sang carols, the girls performed Away in a Manger on handbells, did crafts, ate pizza and cookies, and read about the very first Christmas when God sent his Son as a precious baby!  Sweet memories!!

Gingerbread House

The girls worked on their gingerbread house this weekend and I think they did an awesome job!!  They insisted in taking a picture licking the house:/...silly girls!

School pics

Our homeschool group had a Christmas party last Tuesday after class so I snapped a few pictures!  Each week we pack a lunch and hang out in the gym for a bit and let the kids run around...it has been such a blessing!!

Picnic style in the gym
Auggie usually chases down balls the whole time
Sage and her buddy Hogan holding hands...they are so funny!

Christmas Concert: A Royal Visit

Our church choir and children's choir performed a Christmas concert last weekend.  They performed Saturday night and Sunday afternoon so it was a busy weekend, but the performance was beautiful!!  I asked a random couple to take some pictures of the girls for me during the concert because I was helping to get them on and off stage so afterward Montana said, "I didn't like that man taking pictures of us."...haha!!  The bottom picture makes me laugh because they are looking at him wondering why he's taking their picture;)

Peppermints, Candy Canes For Sale!

Last weekend, Blake was doing some yard work and I was painting picture frames so Montana decided she wanted to have a peppermint stand(aka lemonade stand). She and Sage made signs with prices, filled a basket full of peppermints and candy canes and went to work.  So thankful for our neighbors support...the girls, along with our neighbor Mary Carter, had so much fun.  It was a great lesson on spending and saving too:)

November 11, 2012...Glorious Day

The week before Thanksgiving, in the quietness of her heart, Montana gave her life the the Lord!!!  During the invitation on that Sunday morning she leaned over and whispered to me that she "just accepted Jesus as her Savior."  She proclaimed it to everyone the next several weeks and decided she wanted to tell the church this past Sunday, and be baptized soon(my friend, Susan, took this picture for me).  Blake and I have been humbled by the faith of our precious child and the grace of God in saving Montana, our sister in Christ!!  Praise you, Jesus!!

The Nutcracker

Last week several families from our homeschool group took their kids to the Orphem Theater in Memphis to see the Nutcracker.  It was a beautiful, cold, sunny day and the old theater was amazing!  I left Auggie behind and we enjoyed a girls day with my friend, Meredith, and her daughter, Myla.  We walked over to the Peabody Hotel afterward to see it's Christmas decorations...it was gorgeous!!  It was a special, festive, sweet day!

Skylar

We have enjoyed hanging out with the Hamm family and Auggie just loves Skylar, the Hamm's baby girl!  He loves being by her and is so sweet to her!  She has 3 older brothers so she is used to boys!!

Thanksgiving!

We had a fun-filled Thanksgiving week as we enjoyed family and even visited with several friends.   We were able to spend the weekend with the Booths, meet up with friends in Blake's hometown, go the LSU vs Ole Miss game, attend Tristan and Landon's birthday party, and celebrate Thanksgiving with the Picards!!  "In everything give thanks, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thes. 5:18
Cheerleaders all ready for the game...bright and early!

The sun was beaming!  Mo and Stephen keeping cool!
Grandma went with us to the playground where we met up with friends and enjoyed catching up!
